1.  Downloading or purchasing an image from this site does not give any copyright to that image.  Picture Cheshire is for personal and non-commercial use only.   Users may not modify images or  sell any information obtained from the website.

2.  All copyright in the images deposited in the Cheshire Record Office is reserved to the owners of the copyright.  Permission to reproduce the images should be sought in the first place, from the Cheshire Record Office.  E-mail:  recordoffice@cheshire.gov.uk

3.  Copies are provided on the understanding that they may not be reproduced or published without the permission of the Principal Archivist, acting for Cheshire County Council.

4.  Where permission has been granted for an image to be reproduced for publication, acknowledgement to 'Cheshire and Chester Archives and Local Studies' is required.

5.  A reproduction fee for the use of images in commercial publications will be charged at the following rates:
