WHAT'S NEW

Progress
In 2011, we now have over 7,000 images on this site and will soon add more than 7,000 more when this site merges with the Chester Image Bank in the near future.

You can also look at our photographs of Cheshire on Flickr. We have started putting some themed collections of photographs and Archive images there for you to browse. You could have a look at "Anyone for tennis?", a collection of pictures on a sports and pastimes theme. More themes of people and places will be added to Flickr soon.

Content
The content of the "Picture Cheshire Image Bank" will be vastly improved by the addition of over 7,000 images of the city of Chester, past and present. These have previously only been available from the Chester History & Heritage collection, which is held at St Michael's Church, Chester.

New Additions
We will shortly be adding 100 completely new images of Wharton, near Winsford, to the site. These photographs have been collected from local residents by the staff at Wharton Library. We look forward to adding them very soon.
